READ ME FILE: pc version
For PC version, please read the Family Resource Guide by
clicking "Start", then "Program Files”, then "Exit Stage Right", before
getting started.
- How to Install Adobe Acrobat Reader
Place the Exit Stage Right CD in your CD-Rom drive. Click “Start” then
“Run” then type in “D:\Ar6\AdbeRdr60_enu_full.exe” where “D” is the
drive letter of your CD-Rom drive. If “D” is not the drive letter of
your CD-Rom drive, you will have to substitute your CD-Rom drive letter
for “D”. Click Yes or OK to all the prompts that follow.
- Enabling Macros
When opening the Word document, if you get a prompt asking if you want
to Enable Macros, click "Enable". If the document opens when you
double-click on a Table of Contents item and nothing happens, you’ll
have to do the following: Click on Tools, then click on Macro, then
click on Security. If your security is set to High or Very High, you’ll
have to change it to Medium by clicking on the radio button to left of
Medium. Then click OK, close the document and reopen it. At the prompt
asking if you want to Enable Macros, click "Enable".
- Playing Audio Instructions
To play an audio instruction simply double-click on the link to the
instruction, then Windows will automatically open whatever program is
the default for playing audio files. If a program is opening to play the
files that you do not want to use, you can go into the Windows Media
Player, then click Tools, then click Options and click on the File Types
tab. Make sure that the Windows audio file (wav) is checked. If it is
not checked, check it and then Windows Media Player will now play all
the audio instructions. If you are done with the audio file, you can
either minimize it so that when you click on other audio files it will
come up faster, or you can click on the X in the upper right corner of
the audio player to close it… even if a file is still playing.
- Entering Data into the Word Document
In order to enter data into the Word document you must click on the

become highlighted and you can start typing your information. You can
also use your Tab key to move from one field to the next. If you want to
go to the previous field, hold down the Shift key and then press the Tab
key. You can also use the Enter key when you are done typing information
into a field to move on to the next field. You can also use the Page Up
